Spirits of Christmas Past - Antique Book Matchbox

.This SCAL (Sure Cuts a Lot) project is the cutest little book from SVGcuts.com from their Spirits of Christmas Past Antique Book Matchbox Collection. I decided to do some "mix and match" for the cover. Instead of using the bird and circle provided in this cut file, I chose a window from the collection and included a tree which was a FREE cut file. And, by using my computer to get the image from the collection, I am able to re-size the image to fit the box front, then cut it using my Cricut Expression (soon my Silhouette Cameo will be arriving!!!!). Love that!!! The book corners are all sponged and then embossed with the SU Starburst Embossing Folder. The size of this project is 4-1/2" x 5" x 2"

Curved spine is stamped using Punkin Patch Holiday Traditions clear stamps - love how it fits perfectly. You can get this stamp set here. All pieces are sponged using SU Close to Cocoa ink.

The front is a snow covered window along with a tree peeking inside the frosted glass. Window is stamped using the SU Woodgrain background stamp. Get the window, snow, signage from the Spirits of Christmas Past Antique Book Matchbox here from SVGcuts.com. Numbers are stamped using PTI (Papertrey Inc. stamps). The tree is a FREE Svg cut file that can be found here. There is a vanilla card stock background in the house. Yellow Stickles was used on the star but it doesn't even show at all....ah, skip it.

Drawer changed to a side pull out - a 1" punch used. Emboss the sides using the Cuttlebug Stripe Embossing Folder.

Close-up of the Berry spring and SU Close to Cocoa Ink sponged Cedar Foliage. You can get the cut file from the Spirits of Christmas Past Storefront Card here from SVGcuts.com.
The drawer size is 3-3/4" x 4-5/8" x 1-1/2": will hold lots of yummy things!!!!
The back is also decorated with those embossed corner
To create a matching ribbon, use a Copic pen to color any white taffeta ribbon. Cut to length, tie into bow, adhere with a mini glue dot.

As always a pretty wonderful project you managed to work on. I'm jealous of your machine that cuts a lot.
